Narrative Short Films
My passion lies in telling fictional stories and using my creativity to share messages with the world. I wrote and directed five narrative short films over the last four years and I've helped on many more sets as cinematographer, boom operator, and production assistant. I enjoy the process of creative storytelling and have learned so much along the way.
2025
Mirror Image
Mirror Image is a ten minute fantasy thriller that is currently being submitted to film festivals. The trailer for this short is included here on my page.
A young woman, consumed by the struggles of adulthood, meets an unsettling version of herself who offers a solution - to return to her childhood.
2024
The Gift
The Gift won "Best Student Short" at the Lois Weber Film Festival and was selected to screen at the Ely Film Festival.
Taking place in the 1880s, a young woman must face her anxiety to save not only a forest, but also her sister. Like "Mismatched" (see below), this film is told using dolls and miniature set-ups. I wanted to spend more time on details and construction where I could have improved in "Mismatched".
2023
Beyond Words
I created this thirteen-minute film for the Directing the Short Narrative Film class at Purdue University.
The film takes place in a futuristic world where a young woman takes the opportunity to publish her stories when the VR shuts down, but must decide what to do when she begins facing backlash.
It premiered at the Wabash Lading 9 Movie Theater alongside other short films from the class.

2023
Mismatched
This short film was created with homemade dolls, handsewn outfits, and mini carboard rooms draped with fabric.
A high school girl believes her family doesn't respect her passions and feels outcasted at school, leaving her to think she is one-of-a-kind on the Earth, until she goes to college.
2021
Four Seasons
A visual poem telling a story of grief after a young woman looses her boyfriend in an accident. This short film is four minutes long. I recently re-edited it to music and am looking at sharing it soon.
2020
Once a century
This six-minute short was created my first semester at Purdue University in the fall of 2020.
A mother searches for a magical wish-granting fountain to save her ill child, but upon arriving at the fountain, she finds a young woman who longs for the return of her husband in the military, also wanting to make a wish.
